Whether you’re an an athlete, a service worker, or a stay-at-home mom, almost everyone has to deal with tired, aching feet at some time or another. Often foot pain can come about simply from standing in place or walking too much and is easily fixed with rest and over the counter medications. But too often, we have other underlying conditions which exacerbate these everyday aches and pains. These conditions include previous injuries, flat feet, high arches, diabetic neuropathy, bone spurs, plantar fasciitis, athlete’s feet, and more. Here are a few tips to take care of your tired, aching feet.
Wear Comfortable Shoes – Ditch the cheap flip flops. Toss the high heeled shoes, and put one some shoes that are actually comfortable and made for walking. Look for high quality shoes, made of durable and breathable materials. Also, make sure shoes are a good fit and provide you with proper support. If needed, try out a pair of orthopedic shoes.
