Frozen Raspberry Pie

Today we have our final guest post of the summer series! Today’s comes from Amy at Joyful Daisy and she is sharing a delicious looking Frozen Raspberry Pie. I don’t know about you, but I love pie any time of year, and this recipe certainly sounds like a dessert for all seasons!

This delicious Frozen Raspberry Pie is a delightful mix of flavors and textures. The raspberries combined with lemon juice are so fresh, the whipped egg whites and whipped cream are so light and fluffy, and the toasted almonds in the crust adds the perfect amount of crunchiness. When you live with a grown man and a teenage boy, you can never have too many “smell good” products. Our shower is always stocked with a whole host of products just for the guys! Since it takes a lot to keep them fresh and clean, I immediately jumped at the chance to try out some products from Old Spice.

Old Spice is the manliest men’s grooming brand on the planet, and through their Combos4Success campaign, they are informing guys that when they use Old Spice anti-perspirant and deodorant, body wash + 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner together the result is a manly, amazing, irresistible freshness from head to toes.

Old Spice has several scents available. From their website, I chose the Pure Sport scent. I was intrigued by the names of some of the others available (WolfThorn, LionPride, etc) but I thought the Pure Sport would be best for my guys who just want a clean and masculine smell. When I was a kid, I could hardly wait for an after school snack. Often this meant stopping by to get a hamburger or ice cream on the way home from school, but there was nothing like coming home to eat a homemade dessert! My dad used to make such yummy recipes, and he made this one chocolate layer cake that was to die for!

When it comes time for game day, we always have a lot of “man food” on hand. I love putting out a spread of appetizers on the counter just before the start of the first game of the day, and then going back later at dinner time. It generally makes for an easy day as far as cooking, and it allows me to watch the games with my hubby without having to spend all day in the kitchen. Hot Wings are definitely on my top 5 list of game day buffet items! But if you want to keep it easy, you usually have to order out, which can get expensive, or you have to buy a frozen product, which just doesn’t compare with something fresh.
