Don’t you just LOVE birthdays? As a wife, mom, and all around girly-girl, I love gift giving, and I believe great looking wrapping paper, packaging, and the perfect card are an essential part of the gifting process and the whole celebration! American Greetings has some fabulous product offerings to help you celebrate everything from birthdays, to anniversaries, new babies and more! Above I’ve shared a photo of a few American Greetings cards I have on hand! Aren’t they adorable? They are from the Lily Pad Press line of American Greetings.

We have a few summer birthdays in our family, but the one that definitely gets the most attention is our teenage son, Noah’s. Noah will be 16 in just 2 weeks! And you know what that means…it’s driver’s license time! His car is being delivered to us on Saturday, but because I love shopping for gifts, I couldn’t wait…I had to get new some special new driver gifts to go with the car! We’ve paid his school fees, picked up his schedule, purchased clothes and shoes, and tomorrow I’m picking up the rest of his school supplies. With all this back to school preparation, I’ve got breakfast ideas on my mind, so this week I’m featuring a few yummy “breakfast delights.” Not only would these make for some yummy breakfasts for the kids, but they would also make great mid-morning or mid-afternoon snacks for Mom! Mexican Pizzas

The countdown to back to school is officially on. Next week we are going to pay our son’s class fees so that he can get his school schedule, and then we’ll be buying school supplies and shopping for new clothes. And even though we’ve still got a couple of weeks to go, I’m already thinking of menu ideas for all those back to school weeknights. If you read my blog regularly or just look at the title, you will know that I embrace simple solutions, and that includes simple meal ideas. Simple meals made with simple ingredients not only save me a lot of time and hassle, but they make my family happy. And the great thing about some of our favorite meals, is that I can easily change them up to create all new favorites!

One of my son’s favorite meals is tacos. I think he would eat tacos every single day if we would let him! While I don’t want to cook tacos every night, I do enjoy coming up with similar alternatives to tacos such as quesadillas and Mexican Pizzas! Shadow is currently the baby in our family, and as such, she is quite often the center of attention.
