Fun with Veggies and Country Crock

This post is sponsored by Country Crock. I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective, and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

With so many food choices out there from pizza and chips to pasta and hamburgers,  there’s no wonder so many of us don’t get the recommended daily amount of vegetables in to our diet.

And it’s especially difficult this day and age to get picky kids to eat their vegetables. But did you know that 8 of 10 kids think veggies with Country Crock are delicious?

And Country Crock Chronicle has tons of great recipes to help you bring delicious flavor to the table.

Rascal Flatts Changed Review

Rascal Flatts’ newest album, Changed, hit stores on April 3rd. The trio, comprised of singer Gary LeVox, bassist Jay DeMarcus and guitarist Joe Don Rooney, have evolved after being in the spotlight as some of country music’s biggest superstars.

Changed is their eighth studio album and their first with brand new material in two years. Since their musical debut in 2000, the band has sold over 21 million albums, 25 million digital downloads and delivered 13 #1 singles to the top of the charts!

Since I’m a huge country music fan and Rascal Flatt’s just happens to be one of my favorite artists, I was super excited when I learned that One2One Network had an opportunity for members to review Rascal Flatt’s newest album!

Guest Post: Lightweight Acrylic Beads Are Very Useful

Acrylic beads are available in many colors. Someone who is looking to make a very colorful piece of jewelry will often use these beads because they can find almost any color that they want to use in these beads. They are also very durable. A piece of jewelry that is being made for a young child will be very durable if made with these lovely beads.

Not only are they colorful and durable, but these beauties are also very lightweight. People are able to add larger pieces of jewelry without adding too much weight that it weights them down too much. This is what makes them wonderful for making earrings. A bigger earring can be created with these without pulling down on the earlobe.

Easy Mod Podge Canister

As I went to work on my post for the Ultimate Blog Party that’s happening later this week, I added a collage photo which included a picture of this canister, BUT when I went to find a link to the post where I shared the canister, I didn’t find it. WHAT? That’s weird! I have the pictures of the canister filed under “Projects Already Posted.”  Could I have possibly made a mistake and mis-filed it, thinking I’d posted it, when I hadn’t?  I must be getting old! Haha!

So anyway here is a sort of  impromptu tutorial for this mod podge canister!

I received a tube of Arnicare Homeopathic Gel for Muscle Pain, Bruising, and Swelling. Arnicare is manufactured by Boiron, and it comes in pellets, tablets, and topical products including a gel, cream, and ointment.

Miss Bonnie’s Sweet Bread Pound Cake

I previously posted this recipe before here, but it’s a favorite in our household, and I got some better pics of it, so I figured it was time for an encore presentation! It is a traditional sour cream pound cake that my mother-in-law makes, but the family calls in sweet bread.

It actually reminds me a lot of Amish Friendship Bread, or it would be a really great coffee cake as well, or share a slice over a glass of sweet tea on the porch this spring! Either way, it’s an amazing good cake!

Dreaming of a Vacation

It seems like everyone I know has been away for spring break for the past week or two.  It reminds me of just how long it’s been since I’ve been on a vacation. I have to admit, I’m usually quite the home-body, but everyone needs time away ever now and then!  Last year  I managed to leave the kitties for a few days and went to Mobile for a few days.  That was fun, although you can’t really call it a vacation since it was more of a “visit the family” kind of trip.

But perhaps I’ll get go to the beach or to the mountains this year.  Or maybe I can find some Family Holiday Deals on some other type of trip.
