
If you’re a parent you know what it is like to have a sick child. When they babies, it is especially a terrible experience because they can’t tell you what is wrong, and that makes it all the more scary for you. Even as they get to be school age and can tell you what’s wrong with complaints like “my tummy aches,” the feeling of helplessness never truly goes away. Even when it’s just strep throat or a simple virus that’s been going around, you’d give just about anything to make them feel better, and yet all you can really do is provide them with the prescribed medicine (and a little bit of TLC).
I recently watched this video from the Sick Just Got RealTM campaign. It’s called, “A Mom Can Dream.” And it goes inside a ladies head, as she dreams of all the things she’d rather be doing, from drinking a glass of wine to having just a moment alone in the bathroom, until she is reminded of the most important thing of all, having children who are well.
