Conceal Don’t Feel

We all want our skin to look the best it can. It’s no surprise; it is on display for everyone to see. Though some lucky individuals have the skin of dreams, the majority of us have to put up with a multitude of issues. The issues range from patchy colouring to spots, and can do real damage to confidence. The good news is, there are ways to alter the face you show to the world Whether you want to look your best for a date night, or just want to feel confident at work, these products may be the solution you’re after.

BB AND CC CREAMS

These are relatively new developments on the makeup counters, but if you have spots, they may be the answer for you. We all know the horrible way foundation can cling to spots and make them more visible. Applying one of these creams underneath your foundation can stop that. They work as sheer foundations, which cover up any blemishes you may not be proud of.

CONCEALER

If you don’t like the idea putting another layer on your face, opt instead for a concealer. These do much the same as the creams mentioned above, but you only apply them to problem areas. This can be useful if you have extreme skin issues as it allows the areas that aren’t a problem to breathe. The less chance your skin has of breathing, the more chance you have of experiencing problems. That’s why concealer can be a lifesaver!

FOUNDATION

It’s important to find a foundation that works to finish your image. Wearing a foundation that’s wrong for you can make problems worse and can also lead to further issues. Ensure you make the right choice by visiting a beauty specialist. They’ll be able to pick out the perfect foundation. They’ll do tests using various options and decide on the perfect colour and foundation type. As well as working with the other products to hide blemishes, a foundation can even skin tone. If colouring is a problem, this is the perfect option for you. Don’t give up after trying a heavy coverage that leaves your skin clammy and suffocated. Don’t give up after one shot. It’s worth trying different things until you find one that works!

SETTING POWDER

After you’ve applied your products, you need to make sure they stay in place during the day. You don’t want to risk your foundation rubbing off, do you? Then invest in a setting powder like RCMA no color powder. This will finish off your beauty routine and ensure your makeup stays in place during the day. It will give you an added sense of security that you look your best for as long as you need to!

So, there you have it. A few products that will change the way you feel about your skin. Bear in mind that it may take you a while to find a combination that works for you. Keep at it, though. You’ll get there eventually!

A Stitch at a Time: Perfect Beginner Sewing Projects

Sewing Machine

Sewing as a pastime has grown a lot in recent years. People have always done it, but now people of all ages are starting to take an interest. If you want to start sewing, you might not know where to start. There might be something in particular that you want to make, such as clothes or home accessories. But if you’ve never sewn or only vaguely remember learning at school, getting started can be a bit daunting. Ideally, you need to know how to use a sewing machine and have some hand-sewing skills too. Choosing a couple of easy projects can help you to feel more confident and learn some of the basics.

Choosing Your Sewing Machine

Not every sewing project will require a machine. In fact, you could do everything by hand, if you wanted to, but everything would take longer. A machine makes your sewing quicker, easier, and more secure. First, you need to select the right machine for you. There are different types that can do all sorts of things, from basic stitches to embroidery. The best thing to do is start browsing online and reading reviews. Look at http://sewingmachinejudge.com/brother-cs6000i-sewing-machine-review/ for an example of a review that could help you make a decision. You probably don’t want anything too hardcore when you first start sewing, so don’t spend too much.

Tote Bag

When you’re ready to start sewing, a tote bag is an excellent first project. In fact, there are few things that are easier. You only need a couple of rectangles of fabric, plus some long strips for the handles. It’s also a great project to do with recycled material if you have anything you’re thinking of using. You can use an old beach towel or even a large t-shirt or shirt to make yourself a bag.

Tablet or E-reader Cover/Case

Along the same lines as a tote bag, a case for your tablet or e-reader is super simple. You only need to stitch a couple of pieces of fabric together. At the top, you might want to insert a button or even a zip. Perhaps you can add a foldover flap to cover the top up too.

Baby Blanket or Quilt

Quilting is a favorite type of sewing for many people. If you want to get started with it, making a small quilt for a crib is a good idea. You can keep your project manageable and pick up some valuable skills. You could also make a blanket, which can be even easier. Pick your fabric, cut it size and neaten the edges, plus add any embellishments. Try http://www.diynetwork.com/how-to/make-and-decorate/crafts/easy-sewing-project–how-to-make-a-double-sided-baby-blanket to find an easy project.

Simple Skirt

If you want to start making clothes, a skirt is one of the easiest garments you can start with. You don’t even have to insert a zip if you don’t want to (use an elastic waist instead), although it’s easy to do using a special zipper foot on your sewing machine. One of the easiest things to do is to copy a simple skirt that you already like to wear.

There are so many beginner’s sewing projects you can try if you’re just getting started with sewing. Pick one that appeals to you to start building some skills.

Beef Stew and Easy Shopping with Walmart Grocery Pickup

Walmart Shopping Cart

As a homemaker, my work is never done, and anytime I can come up with ways to simplify every day tasks and save myself some time and money, I am thrilled!  One task that I’m not really a fan of is doing the grocery shopping.  I hate braving the crowds at the store, perusing the many shelves to find exactly what I’m looking for, and I definitely hate standing in line at the checkout register.  If you feel the same way I do about grocery shopping, then you should check out Walmart’s new grocery service.

Through Walmart’s pickup service, you can do all of your shopping from the comforts of your own home.  You just go online, find a Walmart location near you that offers the pickup service, and then start picking out everything you need right from their website.  Once they receive your order, a Walmart employee will find everything you need and fill your order.  All you have to do is go  and pick it up!  What could be easier?
